WATER FILTRATION
ADF PUMP SERVICES

There are many types of pollution present in the water supply today. From naturally occurring minerals in excessive concentrations like lime, iron and manganese to unnatural and unwanted pollutants like bacteria, nitrates and excessive chlorine. All of these chemicals present different challenges and methods of removal therefore there is a range of different systems each designed to a specific purpose.

ADF Water Treatment Services The first step is to take a sample of the water at the kitchen tap and have it tested. ADF provides FREE NO OBLIGATION WATER TESTING. Once tested it is possible then to design a system to suit those specific needs which upon installation will provide permanent top quality drinking water

Here is a brief overview of problematic chemicals:
Lime - causes excessive scaling up of all hot water utilities like washing machine, boiler and kettle irreversibly damaging these units and shortening their effectiveness.
Iron - characterised by unmistakeable orange or rust coloured staining of sinks, baths and other utilities, detrimental to health in concentrations above 200 ppm
Manganese - characterised by a blackish staining on sinks, also noticeable as free floating black ‘specs’ in drinking water. Detrimental to health in concentrations above 50 ppm and must be removed from water.
Bacteria - Many forms of bacteria exist, common ones being e-coli and cryptosporidium. Can be detected only through a microbiological test in a certified laboratory. Can cause severe illness if undetected, easily removed by ultra-violet sterilisation filter.
